IC 1848 is the name given to the open cluster of stars embedded within the nebula LBN 667. LBN 667 is also known as the Soul Nebula, due to its proximity to the Heart Nebula. The very small patch of nebulosity at the left of the Soul Nebula is IC 1871. The Soul Nebula is also referred to as the Baby Nebula, due to its shape.
