NGC 6656 is one of the nearer globular clusters and being the fourth brightest globular in the sky, it is visible to the naked eye. The cluster contains at least 70,000 stars spread over a volume approximately 200 light years across. The cluster also contains planet-sized objects that are only about 100 times more massive than Earth.
