When Britain's largest energy retailer decided to give away 52 million low-energy light bulbs, they chose Planetary Visions' night-time view of Europe to illustrate the scheme in a major press, tv and outdoor advertising campaign. The initiative, from British Gas, is the largest of its kind yet seen in the UK, and has the potential to cut carbon emissions by nine million tonnes of CO2. The image used in the campaign is a 3D graphic combination of our daytime and night-time satellite image mosaics.
