Satellite Maps for Panorama
30 September 2013
Tonight's edition of Panorama (Terror in Nairobi, BBC1, 8:30pm) features satellite imagery provided by Planetary Visions showing Nairobi's Westgate shopping centre, scene of last week's terrorist attack. We provided imagery to the programme's graphics designer at a range of scales, using our own global and regional satellite image-maps, custom-processed Landsat images, and very high resolution imagery from the QuickBird satellite. Our previous work for Panorama, the UK's leading current affairs tv programme, has covered the Syrian civil war, the hunt for Osama Bin Laden and the Fukushima nuclear plant.
